ABROAD is a project that addresses the European Union (EU) COSME programme and originated from the EACP’s working group Internationalisation. It is an ambitious project aiming at the first implementation, testing and further development of the EACP’s joint internationalisation strategy.

While internationalisation has always been a relevant topic for the EACP, ABROAD seeks to develop a strategy through which the EACP partners can better network with specific target regions and receive even better support. This is crucial because clusters vary immensely in size and capacity and for some this is the only chance to develop ties and get into touch with new partners from target regions the world over. In order to guarantee the best possible service for their members, it is important to develop a good concept. ABROAD therefore proposes a programme that will deepen existing links between the EACP and foreign regions with the determination of inserting European SMEs into international value chains by fostering new international businesses or supporting the emergence of international R&T cooperations.
