Happy birthday to us!! EACP celebrates 15th anniversary.
The 6th of May marks a significant day in our joint history: 15 years ago, on 6 May 2009, the EACP was launched as part of a European co-funded project with the aim of encouraging the exchange of knowledge and promoting cluster innovation.
Since then, we have grown considerably in terms of both membership and achievements.
With this humble background in mind, we are more than proud to say that the EACP is growing steadily and currently represents 45 clusters from 18 different European countries.
15th anniversary means reaching a remarkable milestone of fostering excellent collaboration, partnership, driving innovation and many other achievements, both large and small.
Time to have a quick look at our journey over the past few years:
- 2009: EACP was established within a European co-funded project
- 2013: EACP was recognized by the European Commission as one of 13 “European Strategic Cluster Partnerships” (ESCP)
- 2015: EACP sets up an internationalization strategy
- 2017: EACP holds the first Global Aerospace Cluster (GAC) Summit
- 2019: 10 years of EACP reaching 45 clusters from 18 different countries
- 2021: First EACP Virtual B2B Event
- 2023: Initiation of Global Aerospace Cluster Partnership (GACP) during Paris Air Show Le Bourget in 2023out of the need and want for stronger collaboration beyond the scope of the EACP
But, our story isn’t over yet…
Looking at the profound opportunities, challenges and changes to come - beginning with the transition to sustainable aviation to the incorporation of digital technologies - we believe the EACP, with its more than 5000 stakeholders, to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of aviation.
Through ensuring its members cross-border & transdisciplinary collaboration, EACP can serve as a catalyst in order to ensure that its members don’t only participate but are drivers of industry progress.
Keeping this in mind, we are more than motivated and very much looking forward to what to come the following year and beyond.
