Over 300 aerospace & defence sector companies based in Piemonte (North Western Italian region) more than 85 top class enterprises were selected by Torino Piemonte Aerospace project upon strict parameters of evaluation: technical know-how, innovative products and processes, quality, programme development, global coverage, human resources potential and team work ability, heritage. Product quality, project design capabilities and flexibility are their main competitive factors and are indispensable requirements to be part of the project. Almost 80% of the companies invest in R&D, while 50% own national and international quality certificates. 80% of the selection already exports: this is a further confirmation of their international vocation and professionalism in dealing with foreign market.
The resulting assortment represents all fields of production: aircraft manufacturing, components & mechanics, plants & machineries, systems & subsystems, special metalworking, defence vehicles & systems, components of electrical systems for aircrafts and satellites, test and control equipment, engineering, prototyping, software creation and consultancy
Many enterprises, thanks to their productive features, can be placed in more than a sub sector (civil aeronautics & defence, civil aeronautics & aerospace).
To develop a joint strong global offer in supplying international aerospace primes by increasing networking relations and synergies between European clusters and the international aerospace community.

Topics: exchange of information and experiences on market opportunities; facilitate match-making and cooperation among SMEs; support to enterprises clustering for the creation of joint offers to the international community of primes; presentation and discussion of companies’ innovative technical and technological know-how and solutions, technology transfer and assistance for EU R&D funding/ partnerships.
