Silesia has a large concentration of companies producing ultra-light aircraft, carbon and polymer composites, not only for the aviation industry. Gliders from Silesia gained worldwide fame.
Vision/ Missons
The mission of the Silesian Aviation Cluster is to create conditions for a continuous cooperation between aviation sector companies and institutions having a direct and indirect impact on the development of the industry, business environment institutions, financial institutions as well as science and R&D institutions. The vision of the Silesian Aviation Cluster for the coming years is to create a strong structure having impact on the integration of the industry and further increase sales, streamline the development processes and minimize development financial constraints (including mitigation of technology transfer risks).
