    Cluster Competences and Strategy

    Strengths & Competences

    As an association of companies, our main strengths are:

    1) The empowerment of the aeronautical sector in our region, helping our companies increase their level of competitiveness and innovation in this field.
    2) Serve as an intermediary with the regional government in order to agree on regional development plans involving all the main actors: R&D Centers, Universities, Regional Government, Association Members.

    Among our main competences we can mention: Engineering Services, Consultancy Services, different maintenance activities, structural and fire tests, metrology and calibration, mechanising, injection, tooling manufacturing and develop of R&D programmes.

    Science & Research

    The association is not directly involved in R&D projects, our mission is to promote projects that can be developed by our network of Institutes of Technology.

    Our Technological Network (R&D Institutes plus the Universities) is present in R&D Regional, National and European Projects in many different fields.

    • Use of Laser in cutting and manufacturing processes;
    • Night Vision Integration;
    • Light alloys developing;
    • Design of new Composite Structural Components;
    • Textile products for interiors and structural parts;  
    • Electronic components;
    • Mould design for composite materials;
    • Decrease of structural components weight by using laser melting techniques;
    • Introduction of sensors in composite structural pieces to reduce the maintenance time.

    International Collaboration

    The CLUSTER AERO CV helps their associated companies to establish commercial relationships with potential customers by organising missions, being present in International Forums and trade fairs, signing cooperation agreements, etc..

    The associated members are now present almost all over the world either having commercial relationships (companies) or developing R&D projects with differents partners (universities and R&D centres).
